Healing Garden at UM BWMC
Located behind the Tate Cancer Center, the Healing Garden features hillside vistas, a winding stream, relaxing benches and a reflecting pool. The garden provides a serene and beautifully landscaped space for patients, visitors and employees to relax, meditate or take a break from treatment.
Custom Bricks
The garden walkway includes hundreds of bricks inscribed with inspirational messages and the names of patients or donors.
Funds from the purchase of these bricks are used to purchase replacement technology and equipment, to update hospital spaces to increase patient comfort, and to provide staff training to ensure that we can continue to offer the most advanced procedures and practices.
How To Donate
A custom brick may be obtained with a $1,000 gift or pledge to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center Foundation.
- The $1,000 donation is tax-deductible and can be paid over a three-year period. Memorial donations from multiple family and friends adding up to $1,000 are welcome.
- The engraved brick is 4” x 8.” The character limit per line is approximately 18 characters, up to three lines.
