Weather Alert: Outpatient Practice Closures or Telehealth-Only Operations

UM BWMC’s hospital remains open. Some of our outpatient care practices will open on a delay. While sidewalks, parking lots and roads have been treated on campus, patients, visitors and team members are urged to use caution and to be aware of potential icy conditions. 

The University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center’s hospital is FULLY OPEN – including its Emergency Department and Labor and Delivery unit – with operations continuing per normal and unaffected by the storm. We remain open and ready to care for our community.

Outpatient Practices with DELAYED Opening

Due to the inclement weather, the following outpatient and primary care practice will open for in-person care on a DELAY on Tuesday, January 7 only. Please proceed with caution and be aware of potentially icy conditions. 

9 a.m. Opening

• UM Baltimore Washington Medical Group Women’s Health at Glen Burnie
• UM Baltimore Washington Medical Group Women’s Health at Hanover
• UM Baltimore Washington Medical Group Women’s Health at Pasadena
• General Surgery
• Aiello Center – Breast Care

 10 a.m. Opening

• Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology
• Primary Care and Pediatrics (available for telehealth appointments between 8 – 10 a.m.)

Outpatient Care Practices That Will Be Closed

Due to the inclement weather, the following outpatient care practice will be CLOSED on Tuesday, January 7, 2025:

• Queenstown Vascular Center 
• Wound Center

The practices are calling affected individuals to reschedule appointments. 

All other services, including our hospital remain OPEN. For all emergency care, please visit the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Our hospital remains FULLY OPEN and ready to care for our community.
