CAP-VIP provides a full range of services for our program participants. These services include but are not limited to:

  • Individual counseling sessions
  • Trauma support groups for survivors of violence where participants can exchange and learn how to cope with their injury and how to resolve conflict in their community
  • Mental health counseling for the caregivers of survivors of violence (i.e., mothers and romantic partners)
  • Intensive case management services
  • Assistance with job training, life skills, and job placement
  • Assistance with educational/vocational training
  • Housing and legal assistance (i.e., expungement)
  • Enrollment in health insurance coverage
  • Peer support and mentoring
  • Free transportation to CAP-VIP services using Lyft, Uber or MetroCard
  • Referrals to community-based service providers

CAP-VIP services are provided free of charge to our program participants. The services are provided by CAP-VIP's front line staff. CAP-VIP front line staff includes:

  • Social Worker/Clinical Counselor
  • Case Manager
  • Credible Messenger

CAP-VIP also provides referrals for these services to our community-based partners.
