University of Maryland College Park is 20 minutes from the hospital. There you can attend football and basketball games during the season. Walking distance to the hospital we have the Washington Commander's football stadium where you can attend games during the football season. Nearby, Washington D.C has baseball (Nationals), basketball (Wizards), hockey (Capitals), major league soccer (DC United), a World Tennis Team (Kastles) and many more. 45 minutes away located in the city of Baltimore are football (Ravens) and baseball (Orioles).
Outdoors
PG County is filled with many scenic views and trails great for a picnic or outdoor exercise. There are parks such as Bladensburg Waterfront Park where you kayak, paddleboat, fish, and even rent bicycles. Washington DC has Rock Creek Park, Mount Vernon trail and others for hiking. Also throughout the state of Maryland there are various hiking locations such as Patapsco valley state park and Deep Creek Lake. Nearby Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens have lotuses blooming in July, and the Tidal Basin is covered by the famous Cherry Blossoms in March. Museums
The DMV is the place for you if you enjoy museums. The Smithsonian museums located in Washington DC are free to the public – examples are the Air and Space Museum, African American Museum, American art museum , and National Museum of Natural History just to name a few. The Renwick Gallery and Hirshorn Museum have modern experiential art. Our most famous outdoor "museum" is the National Mall.

Prince George's County houses the National Harbor which is a located minutes from DC and Virginia, and our hospital. It has the MGM casino, many restaurants, bars, hotels, and entertainment. You can book a boat ride or ride the Ferris wheel for picturesque sunset views. 6 Flags America is also located in Prince George's County for those who like more adventurous rides.
