As nurses, we come to University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center (UM CRMC) every day guided with a singular goal in mind: provide excellent quality patient care to our patients and their families. Striving for excellence challenges us to care for each patient with the utmost compassion and enthusiasm and rewards us with a satisfaction like no other profession.
As the Chief Nursing Officer, I look for compassionate, enthusiastic nurses to join our extraordinary nursing team. My goal is to provide our nurses with a rewarding environment where evidenced-based medicine is utilized and professional development is encouraged and supported.
Nurses are the cornerstone to building an organization that delivers excellent quality care. That is why behind the scenes, our nurses are also engaged in initiatives to promote patient safety, programs for improving quality and patient satisfaction, and adopting new technologies designed to enhance patient care. Nurses play a vitally important role, working side by side as team members with physician and other health professionals to assure that we maintain the highest standards of patient care.

The Joint Commission recognized UM CRMC as a Top Performer in its Top Performers on Key Quality Measures™ program for achieving excellence in performance on quality accountability measures for heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical care. We have earned The Delmarva Foundation’s Excellence Award for Quality Improvement in Hospitals. In addition, UM CRMC received the Workplace Excellence and Health & Wellness Trailblazer Award for the ninth consecutive year, one of few businesses in Maryland to receive the awards.
