UM Charles Regional is continuing its commitment to expanding health care for southern Maryland women by welcoming three new practitioners to their Women's Health team. The additional specialists will be playing a critical role in UM Charles Regional's new model of care for expecting mothers.

UM Charles Regional Medical Center has introduced a new expert to their growing team. Certified lymphedema specialist Ann Haynes, PTA is now accepting breast cancer patients at UM Charles Regional Rehabilitation in La Plata.

The Maryland Patient Safety Center recently announced that University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center (UM CRMC) has been named a Circle of Honor winner for the 2021 Minogue Awards for Patient Safety Innovation. The University of Maryland Medical System has released an internally-produced Public Service Announcement, “Schedule A Mammogram,” urging women to not delay care and schedule their annual screening mammogram now if it has been delayed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The PSA was created by the System’s Creative Communications team and is being shared with media outlets across the state and posted on social media accounts for UMMS’ member organizations.
