Summer Porter: A Success Story

Summer Porter was still pregnant when she learned her son had tetralogy of Fallot, in which the heart has four heart congenital defects at the same time.

She found her way to the University of Maryland Children’s Heart Program on a friend’s recommendation. Her son Aryn had surgery at one month old when he was just over three pounds and his heart was the size of a strawberry.
