Bessie Danch Henry, CRNP

Bessie Henry's path to the University of Maryland began with a nursing degree from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2006. Her time in their electrophysiology lab quickly piqued her interest in heart sciences, leading her to pursue an Adult & Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Cincinnati, which she completed in 2013. Bessie has thrived as a cardiology nurse practitioner ever since.

Building strong and trusted relationships with patients is always a priority for Bessie. By allowing patients to be an active participant in their treatment plan, she believes that complete, efficient, and effective care will follow seamlessly.

When it comes to her career, Bessie has a deep fondness for the field of cardiology. She continues to champion preventative cardiology, advocating for her patients to embrace healthy lifestyles—while rejoicing in their successes.

Beyond the clinic, Bessie enjoys outdoor adventures with her family. Camping and hiking with her husband, 3 children and golden retriever provide a welcome balance to her work in healthcare.
