About Me
Beth Pruitt is a highly experienced nurse practitioner with a diverse background in family practice, trauma and critical care. She has special clinical interest in neurointerventional surgery for problems of the central nervous system.
Over the course of her career, Pruitt has developed a particular interest in the management of cerebral aneurysms and treatment of large vessel occlusion (a type of stroke), areas in which she has honed her expertise and contributed to advancements in patient care. Her treatment philosophy is centered on leading with compassion, understanding and a commitment to providing the highest level of patient service.
As a strong advocate for shared decision-making and patient education, Pruitt works closely with her patients to develop mutual goals, ensuring they feel empowered and involved in their treatment plan. "I believe in addressing the emotional distress that often accompanies neurological diagnoses and am dedicated to guiding my patients with care, compassion and patience," she says.
Pruitt is a dedicated care team member at University of Maryland Medical Center, where she has a key role in advancing neurointerventional practices. "I enjoy coming to work every day to help make a difference for the patients we serve. I am humbled by the continued evolution and learning that occurs within this field," she says.
