About Me
Dr. Charina Reyes specializes in the evaluation of young children presenting with developmental and behavioral concerns with a clinical focus on autism. In addition to autism spectrum disorder, her clinical interests include attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties and issues affecting the transition to adulthood.
Through an autism diagnostic clinic, Dr. Reyes, utilizing standardized developmental tools, provides comprehensive assessments. She provides strategies and recommendations to support child development while encouraging shared-decision making with families.
Dr. Reyes is a developmental-behavioral pediatrician and clinical assistant professor at University of Maryland School of Medicine. In addition to her role as a clinician, she is engaged in research projects. Her research has focused on identifying gaps and disparities in care through a family-centered, community-engaged approach. She has been involved various studies related to transition to adulthood, resident education and global health that have been presented at local and international conferences.
