About Me
Dr. Gibson is a pulmonary and critical care attending physician. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of interstitial lung disease, a group of disorders that cause scarring and other damage to lung tissue, making it harder to breathe. She cares for patients in the hospital as well as in outpatient settings.
Among Dr. Gibson's clinical interests are critical care ultrasound, a diagnostic tool that allows providers to obtain and interpret imaging in real time to aid quick decisions regarding care for critically ill patients, and medical education. She is director of critical care medical education at University of Maryland Baltimore Medical Washington Medical Center, where she is actively involved in training both family medicine residents and critical practice practitioners.
