About Me

Dr. Hynes is a cardiac surgeon. He and his team are highly experienced in caring for patients undergoing the most complex types of heart-related procedures. His priorities are surgical excellence, the patient experience and improving the patient's quality of life.

"Because of our experience together, we have learned so much about caring for patients and their families, especially in regard to how to collaborate with patients throughout the entire process of cardiac surgery," Dr. Hynes says in reference to his fellow care team members. "We have the highest level of outcomes. Our main motivation is to help patients get back to enjoying their lives."

Dr. Hynes chose to become a cardiac surgeon because of his desire to serve his community in ways that make the best use of his strengths.

"I have found that high levels of discipline and focused energy bring great rewards in surgery as well as in life," he says. "My service in the U.S. Navy as well as my numerous volunteer efforts, at home and internationally, have introduced me to patients from many walks of life. My experiences have taught me that connecting with patients on a personal level is a powerful skill for alleviating suffering and building strong relationships."
