About Me
As a laryngologist, Dr. Snow specializes in the medical and surgical management of voice, airway and swallowing disorders.
Dr. Snow treats a variety of disorders affecting the vocal cords, airway and upper esophagus, including:
- Laryngeal cancer (disease in which cancer cells form in the tissues of the larynx, a part of the throat between the base of the tongue and the trachea)
- Laryngeal and tracheal stenosis (narrowing of the airway that can cause breathing problems)
- Laryngeal reflux (acid reflux that affects your throat and voice)
- Non-cancerous vocal cord lesions
- Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (rare disease in which noncancerous tumors, called papillomas, grow in the air passages leading from the nose and mouth into the lungs)
- Spasmodic dysphonia (voice disorder that affects the muscles in the larynx, or voice box, causes voice breaks during speaking and making the voice sound tight, strained or breathy)
- Zenker's diverticulum (condition in which a pouch develops in the back of your throat, making it hard for you to swallow)
Dr. Snow also specializes in vocal cord laser surgery. In addition, she performs office-based treatments including:
- Vocal cord injection augmentation (for voice disorders)
- Vocal cord Botox injection (for spasmodic dysphonia)
- Transnasal esophagoscopy (test that helps diagnose and treat problems of your esophagus and stomach)
