Helen Lavelle, MD

As a general internal medicine physician, Dr. Lavelle provides comprehensive primary care to adult patients. She has special interests in adult preventive care and hospital medicine. She believes in taking a patient-centered approach to the management of common and complex medical conditions.

What drew Dr. Lavelle to the internal medicine was a desire and the opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients and treat a wide variety of medical conditions.

Dr. Lavelle is an associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at University of Maryland Capital Region Health. She is passionate about teaching and supervising residents in the delivery of high-value, patient-centered care.
