M. Briana Walton, MD

Dr. Briana Walton specializes in the field of medicine that combines expertise in gynecology and female urology. She focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor disorders. The pelvic floor is a very important, but rarely talked about, complex of muscles and tissues that supports the bladder, bowel and genital organs.

Dr. Walton chose this field because she understands the impact of pelvic floor disorders and how many women suffer in silence because they are too embarrassed to talk about such an intimate topic.

"I went into medicine to help people, and when urogynecology was presented to me as an option for study, it resonated with my passion for developing relationships that can help women achieve a quality of life that they don't always think is possible."

Dr. Walton helps women with pelvic floor conditions involving the bladder, such as incontinence, frequency and recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs). She also offers non-surgical and minimally-invasive surgical management of childbirth or age-related changes like prolapse, obstetric fistula/trauma, bowel leakage and difficult bowel movements.

Dr. Walton works with each patient to develop an individualized care plan that identifies the patient's goals and how to achieve them. She leads the charge to bring education and these vital services to women of our community and beyond.
