Dr. Davis’ research interests include the effect of intermittent hypoxia on the development and growth of preterm neonates and the optimization of respiratory status at discharge. A member of the Society for Pediatric Research, she is involved in numerous studies related to discharge readiness for vulnerable preterm and low-birthweight infants.
Dr. Davis is the faculty advisor for the Child Passenger Safety Program at the University of Maryland Children's Hospital and is a consultant for numerous other child passenger safety programs in the U.S. and abroad. She has been named a “Top Doctor” in the specialty of neonatology by Baltimore magazine on numerous occasions.
Dr. Davis is director of resident research for the Department of Pediatrics at University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM), where she oversees the longitudinal research track. She is also associate program director of UMSOM’s Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship, with a focus on NICU fellowship research support.
