About Me
A general pediatrician, Dr. Divakaruni provides care to children from birth to age 21. She takes care of patients in the newborn nursery and outpatient clinic setting, practicing at University of Maryland Pediatrics at Midtown, the general pediatrics clinic of the Department of Pediatrics at University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM).
Dr. Divakaruni's clinical interests include preventive care, newborn care, lactation/breastfeeding and health equity. She is a strong advocate for vaccination and evidence-based pediatric care.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Divakaruni serves as an educating preceptor for pediatric residents and medical students at UMSOM. She joined the faculty at University of Maryland Pediatrics at Midtown in 2020, after completing her chief residency.
Dr. Divakaruni has been recognized as a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of general pediatrics by Baltimore magazine.
