About Me
A pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Moore has expertise in congenital and acquired pediatric cardiology. She specializes in general pediatric cardiology in the Children's Heart Program at the University of Maryland Children's Hospital. Her professional interests include congenital heart disease and cardiovascular genetics. She has experience working with diverse, multidisciplinary teams in clinical, research and educational settings.
Dr. Moore is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at University of Maryland School of Medicine. She has extensive research experience in cardiac genetics, cardiac muscle physiology and biophysics, and early cardiac development.
Dr. Moore received her Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, New York, where her research involved studies of the genes involved in familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She completed her training in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology at Rady Children's Hospital at the University of California-San Diego in San Diego, California, where she spent an advanced year researching molecular mechanisms of cardiac development.
