About Me
Ron Samet graduated Yale University School of Medicine in 2001, completed an anesthesiology residency at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in 2005 and a trauma anesthesiology fellowship at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in 2006. He taught himself ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia in 2006 and has developed particular expertise in peripheral nerve blocks for trauma patients. Ron was appointed the Director of the Program in Regional Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland in 2007, has published a chapter on Peripheral Nerve Blocks in Trauma Patients, and has recently founded the University of Maryland's Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia Service for general patients and trauma victims. Dr. Samet has lectured and led more than 100 ultrasound guided regional anesthesia talks and workshops both nationally and internationally.
