About Me
Dr. Majmundar specializes in neurointerventional surgery. He is committed to providing advanced care for patients with neurovascular disorders. He uses minimally invasive techniques to treat complex conditions such as stroke, aneurysms and intracranial hemorrhage.
Dr. Majmundar chose to pursue a career in neurointerventional surgery because of the profound impact it has on patients' lives. The ability to intervene in critical situations, such as during a stroke, and provide lifesaving care drives his passion for the field. He is particularly drawn to the challenge of neurovascular cases, where precision and expertise can make all the difference.
Dr. Majmundar's approach to patient care is grounded in the belief that each patient is unique, requiring a personalized treatment plan that considers both their medical needs and overall well-being. He is passionate about the management and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke and neurovascular malformations. He performs a range of neurointerventional procedures, such as mechanical thrombectomy (minimally invasive procedure for removing blood clots from arteries), aneurysm coiling, and intracranial and extracranial artery stenting.
In addition to his role in patient care, Dr. Majmundar is an assistant professor of neurology and neurosurgery at University of Maryland School of Medicine.
