About Me

Dr. Pollock is a cardiologist. He has special clinical interests in the early diagnosis of coronary artery disease, along with evaluating and treating chest pain, arrhythmia (abnormal heart rhythm) and heart failure.

Part of Dr. Pollock's motivation to highlight the importance of early diagnosis of coronary artery disease is his own diagnosis with the condition. He stresses the importance of the coronary artery calcium score test, which measures calcium buildup in your heart arteries, helping determine heart attack risk. He established University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center's HeartAware program, which aids in early diagnosis of coronary artery disease.

When he isn't helping patients, Dr. Pollock enjoys playing golf and pickleball and exercising.
