Teshome Z. Tegene, MD

Dr. Tegene is a primary care doctor. He manages both common and complex illnesses in adults, including the elderly.

Dr. Tegene provides comprehensive care and establishes long-term relationships with patients, incorporating disease prevention and treatment into his practice.

Dr. Tegene has a friendly and caring attitude and a wealth of experience practicing medicine. He believes in treating the whole patient and always acts in the best interest of his patients.

A desire to help others is what motivated Dr. Tegene to study medicine. He believed he could contribute even more to his chosen field by teaching future doctors about internal medicine. He became a faculty member, then served as an internal medicine residency program director for more than twelve years. Currently, he is a preceptor for residents in the ambulatory clinic. Teaching medical students and residents has helped him learn different ways to educate patients about their conditions.

Born in Ethiopia, Dr. Tegene practiced medicine for a time in his native country. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
