Hannah Zoe Johnstonbaugh, MGC

Hannah Johnstonbaugh is a prenatal genetic counselor. She has special clinical interest in recurrent pregnancy loss, a condition defined as having two or more miscarriages. She joined the team at University of Maryland Medical Center's Center for Advanced Fetal Care in 2022.

Johnstonbaugh provides prenatal genetic counseling to patients who have various concerns about having a child with a birth defect or genetic condition due to factors such as:

• Abnormal screening and ultrasound results
• Advanced maternal age
• Family history of a genetic disorder
• Medication use during pregnancy

In addition to her vital role in patient care, Johnstonbaugh is involved in the education and training of genetic counseling students, medical students, residents and maternal fetal medicine fellows.
