Dr. Gattu specializes in anesthesiology and pain medicine. She has special interests in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures and peripheral nerve stimulation for chronic pain.
Compassionate in her approach to patient care, Dr. Gattu has vast experience and expertise in chronic pain management. She is well versed in interventional procedures and provides well-rounded care to patients with complex pain.
Dr. Gattu focuses on a multimodal therapeutic approach personalized for each patient. She chose a career in medicine because of her genuine desire to help others.
Dr. Gattu is an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is a member of the International Spine Interventional Society and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. She received her medical degree from India and completed her residency in anesthesiology at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Her fellowship in pain medicine was completed at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
In her free time, Dr. Gattu enjoys spending time with her family.
