Mary Kathryn Mulford, MS, CRNP

Kathy Mulford is a dedicated nurse practitioner who specializes in orthopedic care. She has over 20 years of experience treating orthopedic problems. She is director of the Osteoporosis Center at the Spine Institute at University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.

In addition to spine and upper extremity problems, Mulford specializes in primary osteoporosis treatment. Oftentimes, patients and their families know little about osteoporosis, so Mulford strives to teach them about the condition, particularly prevention and treatment. Patients appreciate her taking the time to listen to their concerns and answer their questions as thoroughly as possible while providing quality, compassionate care. 

Mulford believes whole-heartedly in involving the patient in all aspects of their care. "Patients and health care providers working together as a team can lead to the best possible health care outcomes," she says.

Mulford is a member of the North American Spine Society and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland.
