Patrick Tyler Semesky, MGC

Patrick Semesky is a prenatal genetic counselor. He provides counseling services to patients who have various concerns about having a child with a birth defect or genetic condition due to factors such as:

• Abnormal screening and ultrasound results
• Advanced maternal age
• Family history of a genetic disorder
• Medication use during pregnancy

Semesky offers comprehensive risk assessment and genetic testing options. He has special interest in the implementation of prenatal cell-free DNA screening in clinical practice. He gives patients comprehensive information so they can make the best genetic testing decisions for themselves and their families.

In addition to being a counselor, Semesky has an active role in the education and training of genetic counseling students, medical students, residents and maternal fetal medicine fellows.
