About Me
Dr. Mehndiratta is an assistant professor of neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a board-certified neurologist with a specialty in vascular neurology (stroke).
Dr. Mehndiratta's clinical focus is on treating patients with stroke and intracranial hemorrhage as well as other types of cerebrovascular disease, in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Her overall research focuses on health care outcomes in hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke, gender disparities of stroke, stroke literacy and medical education.
She completed her neurology residency at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, and was then a fellow at University of Virginia in vascular and advanced vascular neurology. She served as an assistant professor of neurology and director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond before joining the team at UMMC.
