A family nurse practitioner, Riley Scheeler delivers compassionate, comprehensive primary care, providing clear communication and guidance and easy access to timely care. She greatly values a close patient-provider relationship, which she believes is key to developing treatment plans that address patients' specific needs and personal health goals and ultimately creates an environment in which to provide an excellent quality of care.

Scheeler chose to pursue a career in family/internal medicine because she wanted to put down roots in the community and establish long-term relationships with her patients. "I believe that primary care providers are an essential part of the health of communities, as we are the link between specialists, preventative care, chronic condition management and acute concerns. We are the key to disease prevention and coordination of care," she says.

In her free time away from patient care, Scheeler enjoys working out at the gym and long outdoor runs. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She adds: "I have a profound love for my five-year old chocolate lab (Labrador retriever), Jif peanut butter, sweatpants and my morning coffee."
