Shawn Daniel Giacobbe, PA-C

Shawn Giacobbe is a surgical physician assistant who works with both the University of Maryland general surgery and bariatric teams. He is a first assist in the operating room, sees patients in the clinic and performs postoperative and follow-up evaluations.

Shawn strives to treat patients as cervically as possible, while taking advantage of the broad spectrum of resources available both throughout the University of Maryland system and and our community to help optimize his patient's health and wellbeing.

Shawn graduated from Dickinson College with an undergraduate in Psychology and Military Science. He was a Captain in the United States Army and is a combat veteran who served in operation Iraqi Freedom. As a physician assistant, he has served in several specialties including orthopedics, orthopedic spine, pain management and primary care. A few of his passions include enjoying the outdoors by hiking, canoeing and fishing.
