Sunny Rae Granger, CNM, BS, BSN, MSN

A nurse-midwife, Sunny Granger is passionate about patient-led health care for women from puberty through menopause. She specializes in birth control consults, intrauterine device (IUD) and Nexplanon (etonogestrel) placement, infertility assistance, prenatal care, postpartum wellness and beyond.

Granger's specialties include caring for women and families during labor and delivery and the postpartum period; sexual and reproductive health; gynecologic health; and family planning (including abortion counseling and preconception care). She is also a surgical first-assist during cesarean section procedures.

Granger practiced as an environmental consultant for several years before becoming a midwife. She stumbled into the midwifery field after hearing a news story about midwives working in underserved areas overseas. She began researching midwifery practice, even shadowing a midwife. To her surprise, everything clicked in her pursuit of a new career. Sunny has been practicing as a nurse-midwife since 2018. She has enjoyed supporting the women in her community.

In her free time, Granger enjoys spending time with her wife and three children. You might see her at the local coffee shops, on Rails to Trails or out and about with her family.
