Tiffany A. Matonak, PA-C

Tiffany Matonak has worked in thoracic surgery for more than a decade. She enjoys building long-term relationships with her patients and ensuring they continue to receive evidence-based care even years after their surgical procedure.

Matonak works with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver world-class thoracic surgical care. She works closely with surgeons who treat many conditions of the esophagus, lung and mediastinum and specialize in minimally invasive robotic surgery for most thoracic procedures. Very passionate about lung screening and smoking cessation, Matonak helped start the Tate Lung Screening Program at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. She continues to guide patients on their lung screening journeys.

Raised in Alaska, Matonak is commonly described as outdoorsy, energetic and physically active. She participates in running races and triathlons and provides volunteer medical support for local races. She has completed a few half ironman long-distance triathlon races and enjoys hiking with her family. She is a mom to three children and can be found at sporting events and playgrounds on most weekends.
