Victoria Beltran, CRNP

Vicki Beltran is a neonatal nurse practitioner who specializes in the care of preterm and full-term babies. Her clinical areas of interest include substance-exposed neonates; infants with surgical diagnoses; and ensuring smooth transitions to home through strong discharge education, planning and preparation.

Beltran's believes that families are care partners and strong family involvement is paramount to the health and well-being of every baby in her care. She encourages families to participate in the hands-on care of their baby and medical decision-making by joining daily rounds and engaging in frequent communication with the health care team. 

Beltran is senior clinical manager of University of Maryland Medical Center's (UMMC) Neonatal ICU APP and Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport (MRNTP) teams. Her team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants and MRNTP registered nurses manages the health care and transportation needs of the most critically ill infants in the state of Maryland.

Beltran began her career as a neonatal registered nurse. She was inspired to became a nurse practitioner after observing the outstanding care her premature niece received in the newborn intensive care unit at UMMC.
