Scheduling an Appointment

All it takes is one phone call, email or fax for the team at our fully licensed pharmacy — made up of specially trained nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians — to begin coordinating your care.

We perform infusions on weekends and after hours based on your needs or schedule. Our on-call pharmacists and nurses are available around the clock in case of an emergency (missing medication, lost supplies, worrisome side effects, etc.).

Our Home Infusion Services

We treat patients needing urgent or short-term care as well as those with long-term or permanent conditions. Our skilled team enjoys working closely with patients, families and physicians to develop safe, effective home therapy regimens and treatment care plans that help:

  • Provide flexibility and independence
  • Get you back to your normal activities faster after a hospital stay 

We do our best to establish and stick to infusion therapy routines that accommodate the days and times you prefer. Your medications are expertly prepared by our pharmacy and promptly delivered to your home. Your visiting nurse will come to your home to help administer your medications and answer any questions about your treatment. We also have home infusion navigators to further help us coordinate care with case managers and social workers.

We have access to health care communication platforms that support our close, direct collaboration with your primary care team. In addition, we can readily access your patient health information through our secure system in determining how best to meet your needs.

We take the time to educate you on infusion techniques and equipment, how to self-monitor progress and other care processes you can do on your own.

Home Infusion Cost and Insurance Coverage

We are considered an in-network provider by all major national, and most regional, health insurance plans. In addition to handling billing processes, we do a benefits investigation (process for estimating medical or prescription drug coverage through your insurance plan).

We are experienced in obtaining coverage and offering financial help and assistance with the process of payment. Even if your insurance requires care at an outpatient center or via a specific home infusion provider other than ours, we will guide you to your appropriate treatment option.

What to Expect During Your Home Visit

Medications usually are given through a needle or catheter (thin, flexible tube that carries fluids into or out of your body). Your treatment may require:

  • An intramuscular injection (technique used to inject medicine into a muscle)
  • An epidural injection (medicine is injected into the space surrounding the spinal cord)
  • Self-injection

Nursing services are at the core of the home infusion process. Depending on the therapy and whether or not it is your first visit, our once-weekly home nurse visits can be either:

  • A roughly 20-minute visit during which the nurse simply replaces the infusion line and lets the patient handle the rest (patients can be pretty independent with IV therapies and do their own infusions — with their doctor’s approval, of course)
  • A two- to four-hour visit, typically for infusions that require observations (these visits are great for relationship-building between nurses and patients, which is why we try to provide patients with the same nurse for each visit)
