Pharmacy Services for Employees
UMMS pharmacies meet the prescription needs of not only patients but also UMMS employees.
As we do for our patients, we ensure our employees and their families receive:
- Convenient access to medications
- Specialty pharmacy care for chronic or complex health problems
- Vaccines and immunizations
- 24/7 access to an on-call pharmacist for questions and concerns
- Access to onsite drug take-back bins (for safely and responsibly getting rid of unused or expired medications)
- Options for reducing co-payments
Employee Insurance Coverage
We accept all major health insurance plans. Employees insured through UMMS save on their pharmacy copayments. Employees can get 90-day supplies on all prescriptions except specialty drugs filled at our UMMS-owned pharmacies.
Employee Copay Waiver Program
UMMS Quality Care Network Copay Waiver Program is a free, confidential, voluntary program for team members and their dependents covered under the UMMS prescription drug benefit. There could be zero copays for diabetic supplies and medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD and/or high cholesterol.

Script Center
Through Script Center, a service available to all employees, you can pick up your medications at an automated kiosk located at the UMMC Pharmacy at Weinberg and UMMC Pharmacy at BWMC. This helps to avoid the lines at the pharmacy. Employees who use the kiosk receive a text message when their prescription is ready to be picked up.
