About MCCN
Mission Statement
The mission of the Maryland Critical Care Network (MCCN) is to promote a coordinated process for the delivery of critical care that ensures:
- A regional system strongly aligned to improve overall quality of critical care through standardization of patient care, technology, data gathering, and quality improvement initiatives
- Expeditious transfer of critically ill patients to intensive care units capable of providing the appropriate level of care
- "Tiering" of hospitals according to the level of critical care required for a particular patient population
