Traditional Clinical vs. ACE Clinicals
The UMMS Academy of Clinical Essentials (ACE) is an innovative clinical education and care delivery model designed to produce more job-ready nurses. The ACE model positions nursing students to benefit from a more intimate and immersive educational experience, embedding them in the culture of the unit through lessons taught by a member of that unit's team. Ultimately, patients will benefit from receiving excellent, one-on-one care from both nurses and students who are trained according to the ACE model.
