Welcome to the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute (UM Rehab & Ortho) campus. This site serves as the central resource for all levels of nursing students who are utilizing UM Rehab & Ortho for school-related clinical experiences.

• Practicum to Practice (P3) - UMMS offers nursing students a 1:1 senior practicum placement if they interview for and accept their first job as a clinical nurse on the practicum unit prior to the start of the practicum.

All students must read the System requirements and are expected to adhere to these standards.

Clinical Forms

Please complete (or have your students complete) all necessary paperwork below prior to the start date. In addition, all students must complete the Universal Onboarding training; contact the school for access.

• Epic Access Request Form – Must be completed for each clinical experience.

Portfolio Training

The nursing instructor will provide an orientation to EPIC on the first clinical day.

Badging

Students will wear their School of Nursing ID badge at all times while on the UM Rehab & Ortho Campus.

Parking Information

Parking at the UM Rehab & Ortho Campus is free. Please do not park in spaces reserved for patients or physicians.
