Practicum to Practice (P3)
One of the biggest decisions you'll make as a nursing student is about your career path. If you know what specialty you'd like to pursue and which hospital you'd like to work in to jumpstart your career in nursing, then this program is for you!
The University of Maryland Medical System's Practicum to Practice Program (P3) offers nursing students an opportunity to select their senior practicum placement and first job as a nurse on that unit.
With P3, you'll be able to focus on your education during your final semester of nursing school knowing there is a job waiting for you after graduation.
Program Description
P3 offers nursing students an opportunity to apply for their first job as a nurse in their unit of choice before graduation. P3 is offered at all UMMS clinical sites. To participate, applicants must interview and accept a clinical nurse position to be placed in their unit of choice for their senior practicum.
