The Friedenwald Eye Institute at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of general and subspecialty eye disorders through a multidisciplinary approach. The Institute is equipped to handle cases from mild vision loss to the treatment of severe disorders, such as diabetic eye disease and glaucoma.

The Institute brings together at one location board-certified ophthalmologists and optometrists. It is also a second location for University of Maryland Medical Center eye physicians, which allows UMMC Midtown Campus to offer a broad range of services.

The Institute provides quality care in examination rooms that are fully equipped with the latest in diagnostic technologies, and outpatient treatment areas for laser surgery. Our state-of-the-art operating suites enhance our physicians' ability to perform the most sophisticated eye surgery.
