Services
At the Center for Addiction Medicine (CAM), our team of addiction specialists offer a full range of individualized addiction treatment programs to empower our patients in the fight against chemical and alcohol dependency. We facilitate rapid intake, flexible appointments, and rapid stabilization. Our service include:
Outpatient medically supervised withdrawal (Detoxification) - Detoxification from opiates, alcohol and benzodiazepines should always be done under medical supervision. At CAM, we use medications with daily medical monitoring to lessen or control symptoms. We can also make referrals for the inpatient detoxification at UMMC Midtown Campus.
Medication-assisted treatment - For opioid treatment, we use methadone or buprenorphine as a maintenance program. We also offer monthly injections of naltrexone (Vivitrol) to assist in the treatment of opiate use disorders (to act as a blocker) and alcohol use disorder (to reduce cravings).
Outpatient counseling - Our qualified and experienced team of addiction counselors provide a wide range of on-site services, including individual and group counseling.
We accept self-referrals and from parole and probation staff, Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services, employee assistance programs (EAP) and others.
