A UM Charles Regional Medical Center program to get patients mobile as soon as possible to encourage healing was recognized with a Circle of Honor win in the Maryland Patient Safety Center 2022 Minogue Awards for Patient Safety Innovation.

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services recently welcomed Emily Hawkins, DPT.

A $1 million grant awarded to University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH) by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development will be dedicated to the "Four Eleven Kitchen" facility in the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy's Packing House project now nearing completion in Cambridge. Weight loss for adults, particularly those who are overweight or obese, may reduce their risk of developing a type of polyp that can lead to colorectal cancer, according to a new study led by researchers at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM). Findings were published today in the journal JNCI Cancer Spectrum.
