New University of Maryland Orthopaedics Location In Baltimore County Offers Range of Services for Patients

The University of Maryland Department of Orthopaedics has opened a new location in Baltimore County offering a range of services for patients of all ages. Located at 226 Schilling Circle near the Hunt Valley Towne Center and light rail station, the practice features 16 exam rooms, a dedicated procedure room, on-site imaging and a state-of-the-art physical therapy center that provides treatment for adults and children.

State Tax Credits Awarded to Chester River Health Foundation

The University of Maryland Chester River Health Foundation (CRHF) was awarded an allocation of state tax credits to support its efforts to raise nearly $150,000 to fund a replacement hematology analyzer for the laboratory at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown. CRHF is one of just two health-related organizations awarded tax credits this year from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.

UM SRH Pharmacist Resumes Medication Assistance Consults at Regional Senior Centers

After a long hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions, University of Maryland Shore Regional Health's Transitions Pharmacist, Melanie Chapple, PharmD, has returned to the Cambridge Senior Center to provide medication management assistance to local seniors. A recent session drew more than 40 seniors in attendance -- more than double the number that Chapple was used to seeing during previous visits.
