The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) has authorized the Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer to enter into an affiliation agreement with Dimensions Health Corporation in Prince George’s County, Maryland. 

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health (UM SRH) and ChoiceOne Urgent Care announce the opening of their second urgent care center in Easton, Maryland today, located at 28522-C Marlboro Avenue. The first center—located at 8 Denton Plaza in Denton—opened its doors in May of 2016.

The ribbon was cut Tuesday, May 24, on a new urgent care center in Denton, the day before it opened to accept patients.

The Clark Comprehensive Breast Center at University of Maryland Shore Regional Health is now seeing patients at its newly expanded location, 10 Martin Court in Easton. Named in recognition of a $5 million gift from The Clark Charitable Foundation, a private philanthropic organization funded by the A. James Clark Family, the Center’s expansion was part of a $6.5 million renovation project at UM Shore Regional Health’s Diagnostic and Imaging Center, housed at that same location.

Mohan Suntha, MD, MBA, a physician leader with more than 20 years of medical and administrative experience within the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has been named President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) effective September 1, 2016.

University of Maryland Shore Regional Health’s newest medical office building – the second phase of University of Maryland Shore Medical Pavilion at Easton – is scheduled to open its doors to patients on April 19. The new facility, located at 500 Cadmus Lane, is adjacent to the first phase of the Pavilion project, which opened last May.

The University of Maryland Medical System has received the Award for Excellence in Supply Chain Management from Vizient, Inc., recognizing UMMS for its steadfast commitment to supplier diversity through the economic development of minority, woman and veteran-owned business enterprises in their local community.
