Upper Extremity Splinting and Bracing
We provide specialty upper extremity splinting in our Outpatient Ortho and Neuro Occupational Therapy Departments for patients with a variety of diagnoses.
Our occupational therapists make a variety of specialty orthoplast splints, including static splints for positioning, post-operative supportive bracing after orthopedic surgery, static progressive splinting for joint mobilization and dynamic splinting for various tendon and nerve repairs/injuries.
After receiving a physician’s order for services, our experienced team of occupational therapists and certified hand therapists evaluate the patient’s needs and fabricate the splint or brace. We then educate the patient about care, wear and any precautions associated with the splint.
Please note that we require a physician’s referral and insurance authorization for Occupational Therapy services.
