Behavioral Health Response Team
UM Shore Regional Health's Behavioral Health Response Team (BHRT) is comprised of licensed mental health professionals whose education and experience include nursing, psychology and social work. These team members are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide mental health and substance abuse evaluations and referrals for adults and children in need.
Services include:
- Acute mental health and addiction assessments of patients presenting at UM Shore Regional Health emergency departments in Cambridge, Chestertown, Easton and Queenstown
- Inpatient consultations regarding patients who present with mental health or addiction issues while medically hospitalized
- Evaluation of patients who arrive in a behavioral health emergency or crisis status as a result of mental illnesses and/or substance abuse disorders
