Laboratory
University of Maryland Shore Regional Health laboratories offer a full spectrum of diagnostic services. Our board-certified pathologists, in conjunction with our highly knowledgeable laboratory staff of phlebotomists and technologists, conduct a variety of laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis of patient conditions.
All University of Maryland Shore Regional Health laboratories are accredited and licensed by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the American Association of Blood Banks, the Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the State of Maryland.
Laboratory staff members work diligently to meet the needs of the community by offering early morning and weekend hours at various locations.
Services Provided by UM Shore Regional Health Laboratories:
University of Maryland Shore Regional Health laboratories have the ability to perform a full spectrum of tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Histology, Immunology, Microbiology, Serology and Urinalysis.
On a daily basis, our skilled laboratory professionals conduct routine outpatient tests, including CBC (Complete Blood Count), Pro-time, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Glucose, Coronary Risk Profile, Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN), Hemoglobin A1C, Urinalysis and Occult Blood. Our phlebotomists obtain needed samples with minimal stress from patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric.
UM Shore Regional Health laboratories also provide Blood Bank services.

Test Directory
UM Shore Regional Health's Laboratory Test Directory includes information relevant to laboratory tests, including the name and codes associated with the tests, the reference ranges, the amount and specimen required, any supplies that are necessary for the collection of the specimen (blood tubes, etc.), techniques to be used for collection of the specimen, special instructions, preparation and proper handling and storage of the specimen.

Your test results will be available on your MyPortfolio account within three days. You may visit your secure MyPortfolio online health account through Patient Portal. For any additional questions, please call your doctor's office.
