Birthing Center Suites

The Birthing Center offers private birthing suites, complete with special technology and lighting, and comfortable, home-like amenities.
For the convenience of expectant mothers and their families, patients remain in one suite for the duration of the Birthing Center stay – through labor, delivery and post-partum recovery. This approach means that physicians, nurses and the necessary equipment come to mother and baby so that patients and family members enjoy the optimum privacy to share this very special, intimate time together in a soothing environment.
The Birthing Center at UM Shore Medical Center at Easton reflects our commitment to provide quality patient- and family-centered care to patients and their loved ones. Known as LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum), this approach has been practiced successfully and safely for the past 20 years.
Birthing suites include:
- Private bathrooms with large sinks, showers and closet space
- Daybeds for support partners
- TV/DVD units and comfortable seating
- Tables and chairs for meal times
Meals are provided in room service fashion, with a variety of menu options.
Should a C-section be required, an operating suite is located within the Birthing Center for the convenience and safety of the patients.
