Breast Center - Diagnostic Services

The Clark Comprehensive Breast Center provides consultation and treatment services for benign and malignant diseases of the breast. When faced with a breast cancer diagnosis the Center's team offers support services, which enable women to make informed decisions about their care and treatment plan.

Breast Biopsy

The following biopsy options are available to patients at the Comprehensive Breast Center:

• MRI Core Needle
• Stereotactic Core Needle
• Ultrasound Core Needle

Breast Ultrasound

A breast ultrasound uses sound waves to make a picture of the tissues inside the breast and can show all areas of the breast, including the area closest to the chest wall, which is difficult to study with a mammogram. Breast ultrasound does not use x-ray or other potentially harmful types of radiation.
