ER at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown

Open 24/7, the emergency department at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown provides immediate care for severe, life- and limb-threatening conditions. The entrance is in the front of the hospital along Brown Street.

We see patients of all ages. Pediatric patients needing a higher level of care may be transferred to another facility. For patients who are experiencing a mental health crisis or who have been sexually assaulted, we can provide evaluations and referrals in addition to medical and psychiatric care.

What to Expect at the ER: Our priority is to treat each person in our emergency rooms as fully, safely and quickly as possible. We see patients based on how serious their conditions are. Patients are not seen on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more about what to expect at the ER.
