Pelvic Floor Therapy
The UM St. Joseph Outpatient Rehabilitation Institute offers a unique program in pelvic floor therapy -- a hard-to-find specialty.
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and ligaments supporting the body's abdominal organs - the bladder, bowel and uterus - as well as the lower back. Pelvic floor therapy works to strengthen this group of muscles and minimize symptoms of pelvic floor weakness or dysfunction, which can occur in men or women.
